Fall Wedding in Breckenridge, Colorado
Today's post is all about Alison + Aaron: Fall Breckenridge Wedding at the Lodge and Spa with images courtesy of Timothy Faust Photography. We have worked with Tim over the years when we owned Petal and Bean, and it's no surprise to find his images on our blog. He does great work, and we're happy to share these images with you. You won't be disappointed in your images if you get to work with Tim. And, he's a Breck local, so he knows the best spots to catch the light around town. That's the beauty of working with locals. But, any good photographer will be able to anticipate light and make the best of what situation and setting they're in. That's what makes them professional. Ask us about creating a package with Tim or another local Summit County photographer.
Destination Wedding Venue: Lodge and Spa at Breckenridge
The Lodge and Spa at Breckenridge is found along the old railway, Boreas Pass, and overlooks the Blue River valley. It has one of the largest decks around, and it's perfect for outdoor ceremonies. And, if it's blustery out, you can always opt to have the ceremony inside. Panoramic views await you if you choose this spot as your venue. But, if this one is already booked, and you're looking for another, then please contact us to create a custom package, where we'll guide you on the best spot that will suit your wants and needs. Thanks for stopping by, and checking out our blog!
I have known Alison for almost ten years. She had worked for the American Cancer Society which I volunteered to photograph their Hope on the Slopes Fundraiser in Breckenridge, Colorado for several years. I was delighted when she asked me to photographer her wedding this year. Alison and Aaron had a beautiful fall wedding on the back deck of the Lodge at Breckenridge overlooking the Ten Mile Range and Bald mountain. It was a gorgeous place for all the guests to watch the sunset from.

Breckenridge Wedding Photography
Today's post is all about Breckenridge Wedding Dreams Come True, a Testimonial, with images courtesy of Leisa Gibson Photography. This is a blog post that shares the thanks from a happy bride that we helped plan her Breckenridge wedding. Christie and Jeff chose us to help them put together a fun day, filled with snow, family and love. They carefully walked down the path to an overlook at Sapphire Point. If you've never heard of this spot, it's one of the most popular outdoor ceremony spots in Summit County. But, it does come with some risk, as there isn't any back up building nearby. Most couples brave the elements and embrace the uncertainty and go for it anyway. Clouds look great in pics, by the way, so don't let a few of those stop you. And, you usually get enough of a window that a fast-moving storm will blow through and you can have your ceremony still. That kind of stuff is what we'll talk you through and help you think about.
Custom Breckenridge Wedding Packages
We have put together some ideas for destination weddings, elopements and vow renewals. It could be just the two of you, or it could be a smaller group than a big, traditional wedding that you're used to. We like to do it different here in the mountains, and if you're open to standing in the blowing wind, amongst trees and family, then we can talk and put together an unforgettable day. We know lots of venues, vendors and activities that will keep your guests talking for years.
It's quite convenient for families to meet here in the Rockies, with Denver International Airport being less than two hours away. Weekends and holidays bring crowds, and delayed travel times, but that's ok, because if you've never driven I-70, it's beautiful the whole way. If you gotta get stuck on a highway, it might as well be that one! Enough from me. Please click here to be in touch and start planning your dream. Thanks for stopping by and reading our Breckenridge wedding blog!
From the couple:
Dina, We cannot thank you enough for all you did for us for our wedding. It was absolutely magical!! Everything, and I mean everything, turned out just as we envisioned it would be!! The weather was perfect, Sapphire Point was amazing (even Jeff was so happy we decided to do it there), the tourists were respectful, Tonda did an exceptional job with my hair and makeup, Breck Hair Salon made me feel like a princess, Leslie did a great job with our ceremony and we loved how she included our boys during the ceremony, Leisa was just phenomenal and laid back and we can not wait to see her photos, and my flowers….oh my heavens, Petal and Bean made my bouquet dreams come true!! They were just stunning and exactly what I wanted. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Our Colorado wedding could not have been more perfect. You all will hold a special place in our hearts, and one day we hope to call Colorado “home”.

Colorado Lake Photo Shoot
Today's post is all about Crystal + Javier: Styled Couple Shoot at Carter Lake, Colorado with images courtesy of Sarah Porter Photography. Winter lasts so long that when summer is here, it's wise to take advantage of the mountain lakes and streams for recreation and relaxation whenever possible. Even better if you can time it right to plan a photo session at one of the many bodies of water available in the Rocky Mountains. Take a guided tour with a fly fisherman, put on some waders and have a shoot that way. Or, hop on your mountain bikes for an engagement shoot. Sky's the limit and we're here to help.
Engagement, Elopements and Destination Weddings
Please contact us to learn more about setting up a custom wedding package with the photographer found in this blog, or others on this site. We accept submissions of high altitude nuptials and Colorado mountain love, but we love showing other fun areas that are inspiring and creative. We've helped couples plan snowy engagement shoots, dog sledding elopements and destination weddings for smaller groups. If you think you need a full-service to work out some ongoing details, we can recommend the best in the business. Otherwise, we find that a lot of our clients don't need that kind of assistance. We can help you a little, or a lot, and we should set up an initial call to discuss the best way for us to help you. Thanks for stopping by our blog!
There is something incredibly freeing about creating photographs for yourself. There is a certain amount of pressure that is lifted from your shoulders when you know that you don’t have to perform on a certain level. However, there is a different kind of self-imposed pressure to hustle a little harder and break from what is comfortable. Crystal and Javier stepped in the last minute when my original couple had to change their plans unexpectedly. They were an incredibly easy couple to photograph and we had a superb afternoon. These two are comfortable around each other: there is nothing stiff or forced about their relationship. Love and grace is evident in Crystal and Javier’s lives. This shoot ended up having special meaning for them, it commemorated there one year anniversary of being together as a couple.
Fall Wedding in Beaver Creek, Colorado
Today's post is all about Laura + Sam: Beaver Creek Colorado Wedding at Saddle Ridge with images courtesy of Frances Photography. There are a few wildflowers out there, but they're quickly going to fade and there's a definite crisp in the air. We actually had snow a week ago, up high on the peaks. The green aspen leaves are starting to turn yellow on the tips. Fall is an absolutely gorgeous time of year to get married. Summer crowds are gone and kids are back in school. And, thunderstorms and rain are typically less threatening at this time, but we're in a bit of rainy stretch this year. It's ok, it helps with all the wildfire danger out there in Colorado.
Saddle Ridge Wedding Reception
This unique wedding venue near Vail, Saddle Ridge is in Beaver Creek, and is a stunning inside with lots of wood, historic memorabilia and large chandeliers that create a grand atmosphere to celebrate in style. And, the Beav is definitely the most stylie of all the mountain towns, if I do say so. Escalators bring skiers to the slopes during the winter, where warm cookies await you when you return. It's "not exactly roughing it" and that was the tagline they used for years too because it works. Ask us how we can help you plan an elopement, destination wedding or some other combination of vendors and services in a custom wedding package that we put together especially for you. Thanks for stopping by and reading!
From the bride Laura:Everything went exactly as Sam and I envisioned. the weather was perfect, and being able to have my wedding in beaver creek where I grew up vacationing with my family all my life was magical and held a lot of sentiment. Saddle Ridge has a great elegance and rustic western ambiance which is exactly how i have always envisioned my wedding. All the vendors we worked with were amazing and brought my visions to life.As many do these days, a lot of inspiration was found on pinterest. DIY projects I did were name cards and table cards (which was a lot of fun!) Frances has pictures of those... Also the actual ceremony was very personal as sam and i picked out readings used, songs used, etc and Sam's sister-in-law conducted the ceremony. Sam and I come from interfaith families so having the ceremony outside was very spiritual for us. Aside from all the excellent work and commitment my mother, father, sister and all the vendors put forth to make our wedding day so spectacular, to this day, nothing makes my heart glow more than hearing my new husband say "THAT WAS THE BEST WEEKEND OF MY LIFE!!"

Winter Engagement in Vail, Colorado
Today's post is all about Laura + Sean: Colorado Winter Engagement in the Vail Village with images courtesy of amanda.matilda.photography. This Colorado couple call the Rocky Mountains home and wanted to have the backdrop of the European-inspired Vail Village. The pedestrian-friendly area sits near the base of the slopes and is easily accessed via I-70. So, if you're considering a romantic winter getaway to the high country, Vail is hard to beat. Beaver Creek is another beautiful place to spend some time while in the Vail Valley.
Snowy Colorado Weddings and Elopement Packages
Please contact us to find out how we can help you best, as we just secured two more packages recently, one for Independence Pass near Aspen, and another in Beaver Creek. We've been all over these mountains and towns and know the best venues and vendors, and we'll help you create a custom wedding or elopement package that's all you need, and nothing you don't. Thanks for stopping by and reading!
Living in a nearby town, Laura and Sean visit Vail Village frequently. As we wandered the gorgeous, European-esque streets, it was fun to listen to the stories of their adventures there. They'll be getting married in the fall in the Midwest near family, but they wanted their engagement photos to reflect their home in the mountains and the love they've found here!
