Holly + David: Keystone Resort Wedding at Timber Ridge [Video]

Colorado Event Videography

I usually post sets of pictures that have been submitted via Two Bright Lights, but today's post is a video, Holly + David: Keystone Resort Wedding at Timber Ridge, that was produced by Elegant Productions, a Colorado wedding videography company that is headed by Erin Pellant. She's super sweet and so is this video. I always recommend a videographer as still images can't capture the mannerisms, the voices, and setting the way a video can. Ask us how we can work Erin and a video into a custom wedding package for your destination wedding at Keystone, Breckenridge or any of the mountain towns in Summit County or the Vail Valley.

Timber Ridge, Keystone Resort Wedding Venue

There are actually quite a few locations to choose from when planning a wedding in Keystone, and just a few choice locations include the Alpenglow Stube and Timber Ridge duo at the Outpost on North Peak (which require two gondolas to get to), the Keystone Ranch, and the Ski Tip Lodge. Plan a rehearsal dinner at one of the spots near the River Run Village, and you'll be set. In the winter time, you'll even have a snow fort and tubing hill as part of the wedding week experience for your guests. Friends and family will be talking about your wedding for a long time. Please contact us to learn more.

A Powder Day on Peak 6 at the Breckenridge Ski Resort [Video]

Powder Skiing in Breckenridge

It's the last week of the ski season, so that means I'm looking back at one of my favorite clips from this past winter, A Powder Day on Peak 6 at the Breckenridge Ski Resort, a video by Stacy Sanchez. For now, we should all be happy for the snow that we got and the times we had on the mountain. But, we're definitely looking forward to next season already. There are so many lines just waiting for us to come back. There are many lifetimes of adventures at the world-class ski areas. And soon it will be hiking and biking season in the high hills.

Summer Weddings in the Colorado Mountains

Many say that you come for the winters and stay for the summers, and the cliche is true. The warmer, not-so-snowy months above 10,000 feet are downright glorious. Hot, sunny days, and afternoon thunderstorms are a welcome change to frigid winds and cold snow. Gardeners attempt to grow things in the few short weeks, and the tourists come back to explore all the mountains have to offer, besides skiing. One of those things includes having a wedding.

Bring the fam and invite the friends to join you for a few stellar days for a Breckenridge wedding adventure. There are no guarantees that it won't rain on your day, in fact, I'll be the first to tell you that it probably will rain. At some point. But, it usually blows out pretty quickly, so just have a back up plan and don't overthink it. Please contact us to learn more about how our team can help you save time and money with a custom wedding package that's right for you.

Elk Preserve: Backcountry Nordic Skiing in Keystone, Colorado [Video]

Part of the allure of having a winter wedding in Colorado is the skiing, and that's why I'm sharing this video about the "Elk Preserve: Backcountry Nordic Skiing in Keystone, Colorado." It's an amazing set of neighborhood trails that end up reaching all the way to Breckenridge. The Colorado Trail even crosses by at a few places. Sections lead towards the Keystone Ski Resort, or stick to the ones off the beaten path. If you're looking for a non-aggressive outdoor winter experience, and have some skiing ability, then you'll enjoy the challenge of cross country skiing. As long as you have a strong snow plow and can turn, then you should be ok. Please contact us to learn more about all the different activities, options and secret stashes that you won't find anywhere else.

Mountain Town: Breckenridge, Colorado [Video]

One of my goals with starting Summit Mountain Weddings was to share videos about the fabulous places, including my home, Mountain Town: Breckenridge, Colorado, which I made this video to show you a glimpse of what our Victorian mining abode is like. The Utes called this place home for many thousands of years, but when gold was mentioned at a bar in Kansas, the gold rush was on. Miners staked claims in the valleys and one even found the biggest chunk of gold ever found in Colorado, Tom's Baby. The downtown area is a historic set of buildings, while the ski runs of the Breckenridge Ski Resort loom over town. Chairlifts and the Breck Connect Gondola stretch from the valley floor to Peaks 8 and 9, eventually connecting with the highest chairlift in North America, the Imperial Chair. This flying couch brings you steps away from the summit of Peak 8.

Breckenridge is perfect for outdoor lovers, bridging the gap between posh mountain living and world-class skiing. Ask us about the many private luxury homes that scatter the hillsides, as well as non-traditional venues and outdoor spaces. We work with many vendors, venues and services to create custom wedding packages that end up saving you time and money. Contact us to learn more!

Horseshoe Gulch: Backcountry Nordic Skiing in Breckenridge, Colorado [Video]

Breckenridge Winter Activity - Nordic Skiing

Lots of couples discover the Breckenridge Ski Resort and return to find lesser known gems, like today's feature about Horseshoe Gulch: Backcountry Nordic Skiing in Breckenridge, Colorado. Once you've become comfortably downhill and are looking for a way to ski while escaping the crowds, click in to some cross country gear and go exploring.

Wedding Planning, Venues and Vendors

Many of the hiking trails in the Town of Breckenridge are packed down by walkers, skiers and snowshoers during the winter time. Some of them are good for dogs and kids. If you'd like to know more about adding a little adventure to your destination wedding in the Colorado Rocky Mountains, please contact us to start the conversation. We work with numerous venues and vendors that we can then build into a custom wedding package for your gathering. And yes, we work with groups of all sizes and budgets.

2015 International Snow Sculpting Championships in Breckenridge, Colorado [Video]

One of my favorite events, the 2015 International Snow Sculpting Championships in Breckenridge, Colorado just happened. If you visit Breck in the next week or so, they'll still be up. Well, not all of them. One of them has already toppled over. These works of temporary snow art are finite in their existence, being stressed by wind, the weight of the snow and the sun. I love seeing the finished snow sculptures, and the kid's interactive piece is always a hit, but I've grown to appreciate the skill and teamwork that's required to bring these dreams to life. It makes me of how we are a team, and when working with brides, planners and their vendor teams, we also bring visions to life. We help brides live their dreams planning a wedding in the mountains. It's not easy, it's not done overnight, but look what you can create when you put some time and energy into creating something beautiful.

Videos by Stacy Sanchez. See photos here.

Here's the teaser video I shot before the snow sculpting teams had arrived. It also shows a glimpse of what summer offers, the Blue River next to the Riverwalk Center, and a memorial to the 10th Mountain Division, the Soldiers of the Summit who fought in WWII. These brave men were ... "originally constituted as a unique mountain warfare unit, the division was the only unit of its size in the U.S. Army to specialize in fighting in mountainous and arctic conditions."

Please contact us with any questions about the winter and summer events that happen in Breckenridge and the nearby mountain towns of Frisco, Copper Mountain, Dillon, Keystone, Silverthorne, Vail and Beaver Creek. We can help you figure out when there will be live music, farmer's markets and more. We understand that all of this adds up to your overall wedding week experience for your family and friends.

Turk's Trail: Backcountry Nordic Skiing in Breckenridge Colorado [Video]

This vlog (video blog) is about Turk's Trail: Backcountry Nordic Skiing in Breckenridge Colorado. I see lots of images from photographers and couples that seem to go to the downtown area, and maybe outside the venue for a few pics. If you have time and want an adventure, you should head over to the Town of Breckenridge trail system to explore some areas that are truly unique. Downtown classics include the Snowplow Rotary Park, the Blue River Plaza by the Riverwalk Center, and the oldest bar west of the Mississippi, the Gold Pan.
