There might not be another setting that's more dramatic than end-to-end mountains of the Ten Mile and Gore Ranges stretching out, providing the surreal backdrop for your guests.

However, with this location you have the mountain weather to deal with. I've seen it absolutely still there, with no wind. Granted, that just after a brief, yet windy storm blew through and sprinkled a bit, leaving moist needles and a normally dusty trail, soft and damp. But, it can be nice or it can be windy and rainy. That kind of weather usually moves pretty fast, so cross your fingers, but bring your blankets and umbrellas. You know, just in case.

The chipmunks, squirrels, whatever they're called, are pretty outgoing because they're fed a bit. So, be prepared to deal with these locals when planning your day during the summer.
