Military Mountain Wedding
Today's post is all about Hilary + Josh: Vermont Mountain Wedding at Stowe, with images courtesy of Kathleen Landwehrle Photography. I've actually never skied the east coast, and haven't been there during the summer, but from the looks of these pics, it's definitely on the travel bucket list. While this blog is for the Breckenridge and Summit County area (Vail and Beaver Creek too), we love to share mountain weddings in other areas around the world. We appreciate all the wonderful images submitted and shared with our blog.
Destination Mountain Resort Venue Reception
This Vermont mountain wedding shows a ski resort setting with outside ceremony and reception room. This is what we would call a traditional wedding. I would think that folks are staying in the nearby lodge, whereas smaller, non-traditional events might not need a venue or room this size. We've worked with many different couples and all with different ideas for their big day. Mountain top wedding with nothing but friends and family standing around you? It can happen. Ceremony and then hop on skis to enjoy the day? Yep, we've helped families celebrate slopeside.
Whatever it is you're thinking of and don't know where to start, well, this is your blog. And we're your team. You could hire a full-service wedding planner and even have a day-of coordinator. We know the best around. But, not everyone needs or wants that. We can help you figure out what you need and what you don't. Please contact us to learn more. Thanks for stopping by!
Hilary and Josh picked the amazing Stowe Mountain lodge for their destination wedding before being stationed in Hawaii.
California Ski Resort Wedding
Today's post is about Brandi + Jake: Mammoth Mountain Wedding in California, with images courtesy of Cean One Studios. This was a submission that came in via Two Bright Lights. I had to say yes and share these photos with you. You see, I've been to the Lake Tahoe area (during an epic 20 day snowstorm many moons ago with five foot tall snowdrifts in the middle and sides of the street, but that's another story), but I haven't made it to Mammoth yet. I've seen plenty of pics with the raw peaks in the background as some snowboarder or skier rips a line down a field of powder. If you've skied Colorado's powder that's a few inches, well, good for you. In California, it comes down in feet. Bring your snorkel.
And, similar to the Breckenridge Ski Resort having the highest chairlift in Colorado and the country, "Mammoth is the highest ski resort in California and is notable for the unusually large amount of snowfall it receives compared to other Eastern Sierra peaks—about 400" annually—due to its location in a low gap in the Sierra crest." If you're a mountain lover and haven't been to California yet, well then, now is the time to add that state to your bucket list.

Let's talk soon.
It's not everyday we get to photograph couples in such a stunning and unique location as Mammoth Mountain. We had quite a journey getting to the wedding venue and had such a great time once we were there with Brandi and Jake. Their love for each other is undeniable!Everyone were real troopers in the snow as we shot their romantics and wedding party portraits on the top of the icy mountain. The venue and views were so breathtaking and Brandi and Jake were so creative with all of the wedding details. We loved seeing their personal touches throughout the day, including a guestbook with their engagement photos, gorgeous paper goods by Joanne Monroe for Cloud Nine Paper, their favorite flowers, custom napkins, and the brown bear cake toppers by Sue were not to be missed!Special thanks to Holly from HMC Event Solutions and Darla, our Mammoth contact were fabulous to work with and the wedding went off without a hitch. We were so impressed by how seamless everything was, sending hugs and a major Thank You to everyone involved. Brandi and Jake, we wish you two the absolute best.
Beaver Creek, Colorado Lodge and Wedding Venue
If you're into mountainside settings, you're going to love today's post about Erika + Chris: Ritz-Carlton Bachelor Gulch Wedding at Beaver Creek, Colorado with images courtesy of JoPhoto. The Vail Valley is full of beautiful lodges and spots that are perfect for mountain nuptials, and Avon and Beaver Creek has its own feel and is different from the scene in Vail Village. You might say that some are fancier than some of the settings in Summit County, and for the right couple, it's the right place.
Vail Valley Wedding Package
If you're looking into the Breckenridge area for your destination wedding, then I strongly urge you to take a few minutes and explore the Vail Valley options. If you're not sure where to even start, but love what you see, then please contact us to learn how we can help you put together a package that works for you. We've been to many of the lodges and venues and know lots of vendors that service these mountain set ups. Ask me about setting you up with a winter getaway where you ski the trees on Grouse Mountain before hopping around the towns and seeing the options. Make your wedding planning fun. Thanks for reading.
This is a Colorado wedding at The Ritz-Carlton Bachelor Gulch! This Beaver Creek wedding in the Colorado mountains is full of natural details and a gorgeous mountain backdrop. Erika and Chris got married on Sept. 6, 2014, on the Skier Bridge Lawn. During the winter, Skier Bridge is covered in snow and thousands of skiers float across it. During the summer and early fall, it serves as a beautiful Beaver Creek wedding ceremony site.
Erik and Chris live in Alabama, and Chris’s family has a winter home in Beaver Creek. This sweet couple often visited Beaver Creek while they were dating, so the Ritz-Carlton Bachelor Gulch was the perfect venue for their destination mountain wedding in Colorado!
Erika’s wedding gown was from Neiman-Marcus, hair makeup was by W Salon, and flowers were by Sweet Pea Designs. Calligraphy was by Debi-Lynn and invitations were by Paper Paraphernalia in Knoxville, TN. The live band Raising Cain rocked the reception!
