Today's post is titled, Julie + Jesse: Piney River Ranch Wedding in Vail, Colorado with images courtesy of cmp studios. These pictures are great, but the experience is hard to capture in still images. From the downtown Vail area guests start their adventure wedding experience by traveling down a dirt road for quite a few miles. I forget exactly how many it is, but it's over five. That's ok, because the scenery and backcountry setting will calm your guests down as they begin to immerse themselves in nature.

When you finally arrive at the venue, it's a majestic mountain lake and rugged ridgeline create a wonderful natural backdrop. It really is a heaven on earth. Trails go around the lake and continue deep into the Gore Range, where Lord Gore led lavish hunting trips in search of local game. But, that's another story.

You'll even find a few teepees and cabins for a select crew of guests, probably your bridal party and groomsmen, to stay the night. Guests needing modern amenities and services can board a return trip with arranged transportation. Cell service is hard to come by in the mountains, but that's ok, but your guests will want to savor every moment while in this private valley setting.

You might even find yourself returning to enjoy the activities at the Piney River Ranch sometime. You can Stand Up Paddleboard or canoe on the lake, ride horses and go hiking.
