A private country club and golf course facility is the location for today's post, Jessica + Kevin: Eagle, Colorado Wedding at Adam's Rib Ranch, with images courtesy of Captivated Photography. I should start by saying that this venue has been purchased and renamed Frost Creek. I had to inquire to ensure that this venue was still offered as a ceremony and reception location, and I received the answer that it was, however it was subject to the club's schedule. So, if it's meant to be, then it will work out for you. Otherwise, please contact us to let us help you customize a wedding package in the Vail Valley at another location.

Nestled in the secluded Brush Creek Valley just west of Vail, CO, Frost Creek offers easy access to everything you have come to expect for your time spent in the Rocky Mountains. While located just 10 minutes from the Eagle/Vail airport and I-70, Frost Creek is surrounded by thousands of acres of federal and state protected land creating a pristine setting for numerous seasonal activities.

You've probably heard of Vail before, and possibly Beaver Creek too, but did you know that there are other mountain towns nearby that would be perfect for a destination wedding in the Colorado Rocky Mountains? It's true. Nearby areas include Vail, Avon, Minturn, EagleVail, Edwards, Eagle, Gypsum and Wolcott. Not all are as fancy as Vail and Avon, but that's ok, because not everyone needs or wants that. If you do, we know of some posh locations like SaddleRidge and the Westin in Avon. But, we'll save those descriptions for another post. If I could capture a year’s worth of happiness in a jar, it wouldn’t even compare to how happy I felt on my wedding day! It was truly the happiest day of my life! We got engaged on April 11, 2013 and got married on September 20, 2014. After tossing around a few different wedding ideas, we decided on a beautiful fall wedding in the Rocky Mountains. This is where we fell in love. This is where we call home.
Our wedding took place at Adams Rib Ranch in Eagle, Colorado. We did the ceremony on the 10th fairway. Cocktail hour featured our two favorite cocktails with live music on the deck, and a full on dance party pretty much sums up the reception. The whole day was stunning and magical in every way possible. I did the majority of planning on my own, with help from my handsome groom.
We wanted our wedding to reflect “us” as much as possible. So, we settled on a Rustic Glam theme… rustic, natural Colorado with a hint of sparkle. We didn’t want to take away from the natural beauty of the setting, so our neutral color palette was a perfect choice for our already gorgeous venue. We chose the people we love most, family, to be in our wedding party.
Our splurge worthy, elevated bar food menu included authentic Mexican tacos and salsas, a variety of sliders and fries, and street food. On the dessert menu were homemade pies, local gelato, and mochi. Late night snacks of warm donuts and s’mores were also served.The day started a bit mellower though. I woke up in my own bed and went on a long, calming run before the sun came up.
I met my girls at the hair studio for a few hours of pampering to get gorgeous. The groom spent the morning playing golf, napping by the pool, and taking a ride in our “Corvette for the Day.” The moment I remember most is when my dad came to get me before the ceremony. He told me how great it is to have a life partner, someone to witness your life and your successes. He told me the day to day things are what make a happy marriage.
I wasn’t nervous all day long until I stepped onto grass, before walking down the aisle. Heels sinking into the grass, my arms shaking, and the hot sun beating on my face were all unique details of the day that I’ll never forget. It was nothing short of perfection, even with its imperfections. When we were planning our wedding, we wanted people to remember a gorgeous setting, delicious food, and a fun party!
The local two person band and the phenomenal DJ Rock City helped us make it the best party we’d ever been to. The dance floor was packed all night. Our throw back Polaroid Cameras were making the rounds. And, the bride was having too much fun to even eat dessert! Many of the ideas that brought our wedding together came from Pinterest.
While it was overwhelming, it was such a helpful tool. Once I realized that I could never actually do the few thousand pins on my wedding board though, I created a second wedding board with only pins from my first wedding board. This was a “secret board” with the ideas I loved most! One of my favorite decorating ideas was the glittered wood “cookies” that my mom, aunt, and I spent hours painting and glittering in my parents backyard.
Also, the bible verses hung on the chairs, down the aisle were a special touch that brought the religious piece that was important to us.If I had to do it all over again, I wouldn’t change a thing. The planning was so much fun. The events leading up to “the day” were so special, and we’re still talking about how our wedding day was the best day of our lives!
