This week, we'll be sharing two couples photographed at this winter wedding wonderland in the Colorado Rocky Mountains. Breckenridge-based photographer Katie Girtman of Studio Kiva, took her destination wedding clients to the Silverthorne Ice Castles for a few photos among the towering ice structures. This surprise sensation thrust tiny Silverthorne into the spotlight as the ice sculptures were seen on various media channels, in thousands of pictures and even a music video.
Destination weddings in the winter just got an added bonus. You always had the Ice Sculpting Championships in Breckenridge, but those only last for a month, so only a few weddings get to enjoy the scene. This option extends the unique winter landscape that will surely make your friends and family's jaw drop when they see them.
Katie says, "It's the new hot thing! Wedding Dresses in all colors are becoming more and more popular every day." Exactly. Sometimes, you just have to go with your gut, make your own style and show your personality through your choice of wedding dress, location, and even style of photography. Ask us how we can help you plan the winter wedding of your dreams.
Check back for Part Two of Studio Kiva's collection of images from the Ice Castles at Silverthorne. We'll also be sharing information about fun stuff to do at art galleries around town, plus more details about the Breckenridge Bridal Bash, the first-ever showcase of the wedding pros, venues and services available from select members from the Breckenridge Resort Chamber.
