You’ve knocked out many of the details…. Cake - check. Hair & Makeup - check. Officiant - check. Florals - check. Reception… okay, maybe not all your planning is done. Having a reception after your Elopement ceremony is a great way to keep the celebration going with the ones you love. There are so many options in Summit County to choose from so where do you start? Below are some tips and recommendations to check out for your for elopement reception celebration.

3 Things to Consider When Picking a Location

Before we list a couple places worth checking out, there are a couple things to keep in mind:

  1. Figure out your Reception Budget. One of the common reasons our couples choose to elope is to cut down on costs. You can still enjoy a lovely elopement dinner with your crew even on a budget, but it’s important to narrow down your budget beforehand. Do you want a 3 course sit-down meal or a buffet? Do you want to add florals and decor to your reception space?

  2. Layout of the Area. Just because you are eloping doesn’t mean you have to sit out on all wedding traditions. Would you like speeches , a first dance dance, a separate room for cocktail hour and dinner, an epic dance party? These are things to consider when you’re looking at the layout and space of the venues.

  3. Priorities and Vibe of the Venue. Sit down with your partner and picture your dream space. Is it modern, rustic, romantic, light & bright? Maybe being close to town is important or need it be pet-friendly? You could have it at a restaurant, brewery, or even at a beautiful & unique airbnb. The possibilities are endless and each couples priorities are different.
