Colorado Engagement Session
Today's post is all about Sarah + Ryan: Colorado Mountains Engagement Photography with images courtesy of Jonathan Kohlwey Photography. We're a few days late of posting this, according to our posting calendar. And, as you can see by the comments below, this photography session was a bit impromptu, with not much planning. At least the plan was made to have everyone together, and with a great photographer. Then, sometimes you got to let things happen naturally. And, I got a bit sick. That's what happened naturally last week. So, certain things tend to take a back seat when your body doesn't feel up to the schedule. Thanks for stopping by and checking out this wonderful set of images that Jonathan Kohlwey shared with all of us.
Rocky Mountain Wedding Engagements and Elopements
I really like a bit of spontaneity when it comes to the wedding day. Again, you can plan all you want, but when it comes down to the moment, you have to go with the flow and use the clouds and rain to your advantage. Extend cocktail hour. Grab some umbrellas and go take some pics anyway. As long as it's not lightning anyway. I've always said that clouds make for some great photos. Especially if you can get the big puffy ones in there. It adds depth. A bit of wet will make certain streets shine when the sun comes out. Oh, and don't forget about the rainbows that fill the sky after the rain passes. So, don't fret when you don't have a plan. One will come about and as long as you're ready with the right clothes, right people and right attitude, everything will be alright. Sarah and Ryan were pretty nervous about getting their engagement photos done. They didn't know what to wear, where to go or what kind of photos they wanted. So, instead I asked them to come out and we'd figure it out. Wing it. And, this is what we came up with.
