ALBUM STORY

Angelica and Nathan decided to add a little romance to their marriage by planning a couples shoot for their 2nd anniversary. These two are fashion savvy and super cute! But, their love story is cutest of all;FROM THE BRIDE: It's a long story and telling the whole story will piece it all together. We actually knew each other as children.

Both of our dads were in the Air Force and they both were stationed together at Guam. Our moms became friends since both of them are Filipino and connect culturally. I attended preschool and kindergarten with Nathan and sometimes our moms had us play together growing up. When he started to get older though, he started to associate more with boys only since girls have cooties you know.

About 2nd grade, Nathan and his parents moved away to Germany, while my family and I remained at Guam for awhile. It wasn't until I was 10 years old that we moved to Oklahoma in the US. My mom had always kept in touch with his mom and I would only see pictures of him during the holidays.

When I was about 16 years old, my mom told me that Nathan and his parents moved to Illinois in the US, so we went to finally meet them at when I was about 17 years old. I admit I was kind of curious to see the kind of person he grew up to be. Haha, as high school usually is, we were polar opposites, so we didn't get along nor did we like each other.

He was that guy who played sports a lot, while I was not very social and more of a bookworm kind of girl. He told me later he felt I was competing with him then, haha. We probably argued that whole trip there. Looked kind of hopeless for us. :P At 20 years old during December 2009, we all met up at Hawaii with another family that also knew us from Guam. That's probably about the first time I've really noticed him, but I was kind of in denial and thought I wouldn't like him much. While we were there, I needed to talk to him more to know more about him. Supposedly when I like someone I make it SO obvious. :P

When it was time for goodbyes , I gave him my cellphone number to keep in touch, but I guess he lost it while traveling back home. Luckily he reached out to me on Facebook and that's when the talking started. We started talking more seriously in January of 2010 through Facebook when we both admitted that we liked each other. Both of our parents approved of it since they both had known each other since we were children, The long distance relationship was a struggle I admit at first. We both didn't know where it would go and how often we'd be able to meet in person. We were both attending college at the time, which kept us busy and Nathan was focusing towards his military career.

Our parents tried their best to help us out with traveling while we both worked hard ourselves to make it work. Nathan was the most hesitant about it, but I kept insisting maybe this could work, so he gave us a chance. He said he wouldn't consider us an item until he met me in person and took me on a first date, so in March 2010, he met me in Oklahoma and we went on our first date. It was quick, yet sweet and simple. Of course, a dinner. Afterwards he asked me if I would be his girlfriend and I accepted. And the rest is kind of history. :]
