*Cheers* to Friday!! Elopement tip: bring some🍾 and two 🥂 to celebrate after your “I Do’s!”
When I first see our couples on their wedding day, I always ask: "How are you feeling? ...Are you breathing?!" {Oh, silly altitude jokes...! 😂}⠀
.⠀
And then after the ceremony: "Still breathing?" ⠀
.⠀
Here's the thing: I don't really mean, "Are you alive? Are you out of breath?" I want to remind every bride + groom to breathe in deep + take in the moment. Be present. The Big {little} Day flies by, and it's so important to Stop. Look around. And breathe.⠀
.⠀
P.S. I'm in love with all of the winter wedding shawls I've seen so far - such a great way to add some style AND warmth to a chilly day!
😍 The first moments after The Big Kiss....! ⠀
.⠀
❄️ One of *the* most laid back elopements I’ve been to in a long time. We walked about 8 minutes to our overlook - which had gotten socked in with new snow clouds in just that little time. A quick ceremony, with fresh snow falling and close friends + family in tow, a few fun photos and an excited walk back. ⠀
.⠀
🎉 Congrats to the newlyweds!!
Before working together, I ask all of my couples: "What is your favorite thing to do together?" So many of our brides answer: "Just spending time together, staying in on the couch, with our dog, etc..."⠀
.⠀
**I hear ya!** Given the choice, I'd almost always choose to hunker down with my guy on our couch, with the pup probably wedged in the middle.⠀
.⠀
Maybe it's that we tend to work opposite schedules and only have an hour in the mornings and a few in the evenings together. Maybe it's that work requires a lot of my energy and I'd rather have a quiet night than go out and socialize at a bar. Maybe it's that he's the best person I've met and just being around him brings me peace. 😍⠀
.⠀
Whatever the reason, you can bet that our favorite way to spend time together is having a relaxing evening in, with a new movie and dessert on the couch ☺️
Hey awesome brides + couples: in case I don't say it enough, thank you for choosing me to capture your most treasured memories on your wedding day. The meaning of these images does not escape me.⠀

Dear Ullr,⠀
Please bring us more snow days like this one.⠀
Particularly during a gorgeous outdoor elopement.⠀
And leave the wind at home, if you could.⠀
Also? The bigger the snowflakes, the better.⠀
Oh, and keep the temperatures just above 30* so it's not too cold.⠀
Sincerely,⠀
Every Winter Bride Hoping for a Snowy Wedding⠀
.⠀
❄️ Who else is with me on this one? 😂
.⠀
😍 But really, there's amazing beauty here in the mountains that shines through no matter what the weather. And have some faith in Mother Nature (and Ullr), too - they'll surprise you when you least expect it.
Baby, it's cold outside.... doesn't even *begin* to describe the weather this day. I think it took me two full days to warm up afterwards, and it was SO WORTH IT!!⠀
.⠀
These two and their families rented a gorgeous vacation home in Breckenridge and all stayed together for their visit. We huddled around on the back deck as the wind + snow snow swirled around us. {The bride + groom's hair was completely dusted in fresh snow by the time we finished}⠀
.⠀
Our bride wanted a winter wedding, and Mother Nature delivered {I mean, She was totally showing off that day!}.
Winter weddings are for couples who snuggle - either together in their PJs OR in a wedding dress out in the chilly mountain air!⠀
.⠀
I adored our bride's dress choice - it fit her like a glove and flattered everything about her. And that dip in the back? I was ✨slightly✨ obsessed 😍. ⠀
.⠀
Our beautiful Kentucky couple visited Frisco with their closest friends and exchanged vows in a quiet ceremony overlooking Lake Dillon + Peak One. We explored some other spots before it got too brisk, and they left Colorado officially married, ready for their next great adventures together!
Guys: Make sure your tie is straight for your wedding. And if you miss it, don't worry, I'm sure she'll fix it for ya! 😉⠀
.⠀
This intimate NYE elopement at @lodgeatbreck was filled with smiles, giggles + absolute laughter! What a way to ring in the New Year together.
