[PHOTO SHOOT LOCATION] Cliffhanger Photo Session: Part Two

The comments, likes, and response we received from this post was great!  "Now this is what I'm talking about!!" was mentioned by a local wedding planner who spotted this post.  It was then shared by another local wedding officiant who shared it on her page, who received a comment that said: "OMG...That is just so wrong on so many levels. I swear, I got vertigo just looking at them!! Beautiful though!"

We looked through the gallery for this shoot, and narrowed it down to two posts.  I pressed the photographer for a bit of backstory on this shoot, and this is what he had to say.

"The couple, Christie and Kevin, were married in Jackson, NH. The session on the cliff took place on Cathedral Ledge in North Conway, NH. The couple were not rock climbers so we had a training session the day before to give them a basic understanding of the equipment used hoping this would make the session on the cliff a little less stressful."

"Marc Chauvin of Chauvin Guides International was hired for all the rigging and rope work on the shoot."

"We started before dawn to be in place at sunrise. The couple was lowered down to the ledge and anchored in place. They were always either tied into a rope or anchored to the cliff. Anchors were hidden by camera angle. Images were taken from various positions along the top of the cliff and I rappelled down for some as well. The ledge they were on is about 400 feet above the ground. Once we were done, Marc rigged up a pulley system and a bunch of us hauled the couple back up to the top."

"Everything went off with out a hitch and it was a very exciting and unique bridal session."  I would definitely agree.  It's one of the most unique that we've ever seen.

We also had a very nice comment come in and thought we'd share that as well.  We hope you enjoyed this photo shoot as much as we did!  Thanks for reading.

"Lakes Region Bride magazine has been lucky enough to work with Jay & Vicki of Philbrick Photography. Jay's vision and intepretation of weddings is creative and always unsual and beautiful. When we call him and say "Hey I've got this crazy idea for a photo shoot..." it doesn't take long for him to jump in...he's had a biplane chase a couple down a runway; put a bride with a mohawk in a latex wedding gown and also captured some of the most stunning and romantic wedding photography for our magazine. And by the way, it doesn't hurt to ask if Jay and VIcki will travel to Breckenridge! This world-traveling, high energy duo might be up for it!"
