Bridal Bouquets for Winter Weddings in the CO Rocky Mountains //

Most of the winter brides choose some sort of white combination of flowers to hold.  Every now and then, we see a colorful bouquet come across, but there's just something about an all-white bouquet in the winter.  In the Rocky Mountains.  At your wedding.  That you picked out.

If you're new to the game and want to learn the basics, then read Dina's three-part blog series on How to Plan Your Wedding Flowers.  Be sure to add this blog to your inspiration board on Pinterest by clicking on the pin it button on the top left of this post!  If you need an invite, then please send us a tweet and we'll send one right over.

[VENUES] Rubywood + V3 Ranch // Luxury Home Rentals for Destination Weddings in Breckenridge, Colorado

The sun goes down and the temperature drops.  But that's because you're at about 10,500 feet when you're at either Rubywood or the V3 Ranch in Breckenridge.  Both properties are managed by Paragon Lodging, which has an easy-to-find office on the right side of main street as you drive south into Breck from Frisco.Rubywood, a Paragon Lodging Property - Breckenridge Wedding Venue, Breckenridge Wedding Property Rental, Luxury Home Rentals, Breckenridge Colorado

Rubywood sits high on Baldy Mountain looking directly west at the Breckenridge Ski Resort.  Avoid the hustle and bustle of Main Street and reserve a slice of heaven tucked in the clouds.  A private home rental is the right choice for couples not needing or wanting a large conference-style, multi-purpose room, but an intimate homey-feelin' gathering.

And what better way than to have it in an actual home and not a hotel.  Each couple's needs and wants are different, and we know there are couples that want to find that perfect Breckenridge or Summit County wedding venue.  Some are too big, and some are too small.  Ask us how to narrow down the search with our Kickstarter Package.

And remember when I said that it gets chilly?  Well, pack a jacket, because you're probably going to want to sit in this chair for a while when you get here.  Don't say I didn't warn you.

All-white centerpieces were alternated with lanterns down the center of the table under a tent on the side of Rubywood.  These centerpieces included Dusty Miller, Hydrangea, Stock, Roses, and Snapdragons.

At Summit Mountain Weddings and Events, we are creating a one stop shop for your Breckenridge wedding planning needs.  Brides originally found us for their flowers.  They asked for our recommendations and referrals.  We have since created the best online resource for brides planning a wedding near the mountain towns of Summit County, Colorado.

Breckenridge tent rentals and more.  Because yeah, it might be sunny.  But then again, it might not.   The image above was a blank canvas for a hanging centerpiece that we created this past weekend at Rubywood.  Wait 'til you see what we did up there!

Setting Up At The Mountain Thunder Lodge in Breckenridge, Colorado.

We just dropped off centerpieces at the Mountain Thunder Lodge, near the historic downtown area and gondola.  Here we saw colorful Pez dispensers as place card holders and a yummy-looking candy buffet table.  This is a another real-time blog post that we just are adding a few details from the desktop, but the majority was a mobile blogging effort!

I really dig how they used all sorts of characters in the Pez placecards, including Boba Fett!

One favorite thing we keep seeing at weddings are some super comfy flip flops that folks can wear and get comfortable before hittin' the dance floor!

This is the first real-time post from a real mountain wedding in Summit County. I'm hoping to share the bouquets and the room in which the reception will take place.

We focused on the ceremony in Lindsey and Jeff's earlier post, and we'll now focus on the reception decor.  This real Breckenridge wedding that,  according to The Knot Magazine's online feature , is "playing off the vintage touches of the ski lodge and the breathtaking views.  Lindsey and Jeff chose yellow, blue, green and white for their fresh color scheme."

Rachel Olsen Photography beautifully captured these images and is based out of Fort Collins, Colorado.  This late August wedding was held on the ski slopes of Breckenridge Ski Resort, and is situated half-way up the ski hill, near the Falcon Chair, which gives access to one of my favorite runs on the hill, the Burn.

Rustic picture frames held table numbers while jars and different sized vases held a mix of colorful flowers.  The room has tall ceilings and large windows that show the local mountain landscape and offer a high-altude wedding experience you can't get in-town.

One way that's very easy to make you mountain wedding green is to use rental items, such as glassware from the florist.  The florist can also suggest linen resources that will bring out the most of the color design for the event, and will make it all look great.  We'll be blogging about some new color tools we just found on our blog, so be sure to check back often for new ideas and online resources that we'll be sharing as they emerge!

Cupcakes remain very popular and appear to be at just as many weddings as those with cakes these days.  We've also been seeing lots of candy buffets at mountain weddings, perhaps we should ask for some brides to be a bride tester for products and services... hmmm.  Let us know if you're interested in trying out stuff and writing for our blog.
