Colorado Wedding Engagement: Stephanie + Christopher

Colorado Wedding Engagement: Stephanie + Christopher by Anna Gleave Photography Today I'm sharing images from images submitted via Two Bright Lights, Colorado Wedding Engagement: Stephanie + Christopher by Anna Gleave Photography. We're happy to have helped a couple plan an elopement in less than a month, who married two weekends ago, so don't worry if you think it's last minute. We've helped couples plan special moments in a week or less. That's not optimal, and we definitely recommend more planning time, as that allows for more choices for personalization.

We thank you for taking some time to check out the original wedding blog for Summit County and the Vail Valley, and we look forward to expanding our content, vendor selections and event planning resources that go beyond the normal wedding magazine. New ideas that I'll be working on include shared Pinterest boards, styled shoots at venues and networking and social media marketing meet ups for vendors.

Brides and grooms, if you have an idea for a destination mountain wedding package and don't see it on our growing list, then please contact us to get the process started. We'd love to hear your ideas and see how we can help you bring your dreams to life. Happy Holidays everyone.

Colorado Wedding Engagement: Stephanie + Christopher by Anna Gleave Photography

Chris and Stephanie have the sweetest kind of love! They met while doing their undergraduate studies in Utah but didn't fall in love until a few years later-- and a few hundred miles away. They eventually decided to tie the knot and wanted to feature some of Colorado's most beautiful features-- the Red Rocks. We headed to the South Valley Park in Ken Caryl for gorgeous views, a little bit of snow, and a lot of love!

[Venue] The Church at Agape Outpost in Breckenridge, Colorado

This is an interesting blog as I've embedded a new feature over on Google+, Stories, and it shows my photos and videos from visiting the Church at Agape Outpost for a client. We were deciding which of our three ceremony arches would look best with the look the bride is going for. Contact us to learn more about this and other Breckenridge wedding venues!

A couple of years ago, I visited the park for the first time. The first place we stopped at was the Alluvial Falls below, and right away I was enraptured by this place. It's easy to see the beauty and naturalness this place has to offer anyone wanting a outdoor wedding.

Rainy Day Back Up for a Wedding at the Alpenglow Stube at the Keystone Resort

rain.jpg

When you decide to have a mountain top gathering, it's a really good idea for you to hvae a rainy day back up for a wedding at the Alpenglow Stube at the Keystone Resort. In the summertime, it rains more often than it doesn't, and it's best to prepare and plan for strong winds, wet weather and colder than wanted temperatures. This couple married at a venue that guests took two gondolas to get to. We drive up. If it's rainy, it will be cold. Prepare guests by suggesting layers, or providing shawls or blankets. A welcome bag with trail mix, chocolate, portable oxygen, local maps and magazines, and a flashlight would be nice. Or, suggest guests download an app that will brighten up a dark gondola.

Ask us how we can help describe the feeling that these wedding venues at the Keystone Resort provide. We've been working at them for almost 20 years and have seen lots of events happen at each one over the years. We love the Ski Tip Lodge and the Keystone Ranch, and neither require a gondola for transportation. Oh, the choices you have to make. Let's talk soon, ok?

Please contact us to learn more about the table centerpieces you see here in the Alpenglow Stube. It's the smaller of the two rooms at the Outpost at North Peak. Timber Ridge is the much larger room with super tall ceilings. It's a completely different experience than the intimate scene at the stube.

In the image above, the couple makes a smart call to have the ceremony in front of the fire place. For a small crowd, this is perfectly fine, as your guests will be much more comfortable. You can always go out for photos once the rain has cleared. Go with the flow, and if nothing else, there's always the cake to end the day on a literal sweet note. Thanks for reading!

The Oh Be Joyful Lodge at the Breckenridge Nordic Center [Venue]

Oh-Be-Joyful-Lodge-Breckenridge-Wedding-Venue.jpg

These are probably going to be the worst images you'll ever see of the Oh Be Joyful Lodge at the Breckenridge Nordic Center, a new event venue available for rental very, very soon. I was actually delivering some birthday flowers from the daughter to one of the owners of the facility before popping my head into the construction zone. The workers moved fast and communicated while I was there snapping these pics with my phone.

We'll be keeping an eye on the development and availability of this new wedding venue in Breckenridge, Colorado. it's just up the road from the downtown area, and you fly right over it when you're in the gondola headed up to Peak 8 to ride.

If you're in town for a few days and want to take a break from the downhill stuff, head over to the nordic center in Breck, there's one in Frisco too, and strap on a set of snowshoes or rent cross country skis and explore the mountains from a different perspective.

Please contact us to learn more about planning a wedding in Breckenridge, possibly using this venue, and possibly going snowshoeing or xc skiing. We'll help steer you towards the best resources for your goals and vendor budgets.

So, hopefully these will be the worst pics you'll ever see of this place. Once the construction phase is over, the friends and famiies will use this lodge to gather. And it will be good. And the photos? Much better. With people. And love. Thanks for reading, and please share with someone you know that needs to see this place!

The Kingdom must have its castle! Ice Castles come to Breckenridge, Colorado.

kingdom-must-have-its-castle.jpg

When I say that the Kingdom must have its castle, I am referring to a little known part of Breckenridge history that included it being literally left off the map for a while. And so, local residents began referring to their sovereignty as the "Kingdom of Breckenridge." And, rightfully so. In fact, the town charter moved back and forth between towns. A motivated crew "captured the flag" and returned from Parkville, where the competing encampment was. But, that's another story for another time.

This year, the Ice Castles will return to the high country and are being created as I write this, and will be completed sometime in December. That's a guess, but I would think that want to be up and running for the end-of-year holiday visitors. We look forward to seeing the newest version of the Ice Castles in their new home, and that is, the Kingdom of Breckenridge.

Wildflowers in front of Ten Mile Station, Breckenridge wedding venue

In the foreground you see wildflowers in front Ten Mile Station, Breckenridge wedding venue on Peak 9 at the ski area.  There are literally thousands of them in front of the building, and in a huge patch out in the circular driveway.  Not every venue is lucky enough to have these kinds of wildflowers, in that sheer number, out the front door.  There are also large hanging baskets that are hung. If you're looking for help finding a venue, booking other vendors and bringing your vision together, then please contact us to learn more.  We are helping brides plan their dream destination wedding in Breckenridge and the Vail Valley.  As a mountain-based wedding planner we are able to share our local expertise and solve any situations using our creative online resource to produce magnificent mountain weddings.
